Fast Food Retail Development Mudgee

Project Overview

Our client came to us with a Development Approval obtained after a couple of years of negotiation with the local Council and the State road agency Transport for NSW. The consent conditions required the developer to design and build an intersection upgrade with a turning lane on the nearby State road (at their cost), including full depth pavement widening.

We assisted the client by identifying unfair and unreasonable ‘gold-plated’ requirements in the consent and later design reviews handed down by authorities, and led the development of documentation required by the civil works contractor and for government approvals. This included optimisation of the design to meet current standards, and leading the negotiations (calls, meetings and correspondence) with key government authority staff and management.
